Lightroom CC Workflow: Black & White Floral Photographs | Photo Retouching Tutorial

Lightroom CC Workflow: Black & White Floral Photographs | Photo Retouching Tutorial
Looking to learn how to turn color photos into Black & White works of art? In this Lr CC retouching tutorial, I take one of my floral photos and turn it into a image ready to be hung in a gallery, or a cheap hotel. So if you like flowers or B&W photos you are sure to find this tutorial helpful.

© Exodist Photography, All Rights Reserved

About this tutorial:

Wanted to create a tutorial on various ways to create B&W photos in Adobe Lightroom. The photo used was of a Yellow Bell flower I took around the house. As a color photo it didn't feel very appealing. However I feel its more interesting as black and white making it the perfect candidate for this tutorial

This image was taken on a Canon EOS 70D using the Sigma 18-35mm ƒ/1.8 Art lens. The exposure settings used were ISO100, ƒ/1.8, 1/400sec at 35mm. This photo was taken just a few days after getting the Sigma 18-35mm Art lens. I used ƒ1.8 for this photo as I was wanting to see how the Bokeh looked at that aperture. Which is also the reason for the short depth of field in this image. I had the camera on (Av) Aperture Priority mode and ISO locked at ISO100.

It looks like Canon may be joining the full frame mire-less camera market soon. They recently applied for a patent for a EF/EF-S lens adapter to be mounted on a full frame mirror-less camera. But are they doomed to make the same mistakes they did with the EOS-M? My thoughts and opinion.
