Lightroom 6 Worflow: Using Photo Merge To Create HDR Images I Retouching Tutorials
With Lightroom CC "Lr 6" just being released, you may be wondering how to use many of the new features. In this retouching tutorial I will show you how to use Photo Merge in Adobe Lightroom to create beautiful High-Dynamic-Range "HDR" images by combining multiple exposures into one file. Then we retouch the file to give it a realistic look.

About This Photo:

This photo was taken at Butuan Bay in the Philippines. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) were taken to create this image. Camera and lens was my trusty Canon EOS 70D and my new Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 Art Lens. Exposure settings were ISO 100, f/16, (1/160sec, 1/40sec, 1/10sec) @ 35mm. F/16 was only used for testing purpose, I was putting this lens through my testing phase before traveling with it. Despite using that high of an aperture it still performed very nicely, keep in mind a tripod and 2sec delay was used with Auto Exposure Bracketing.

The Pro Gear, Pro Photographer Debate - My Opinion With Gear Comparison | Joe's Videos

The Pro Gear, Pro Photographer Debate - My Opinion With Gear Comparison | Joe's Videos
This topic was recently brought up with a few individuals inside the youtube photography community. It seems many feel that to be a professional photographer that you must own what is generally considered "Pro" gear, which can be very costly and in many cases not actually give a person the results that was hoping for. So what makes a Photographer a "Pro" or professional in his or her industry?  How much does it cost to just get started and what other gear can give equal or better results and actually only cost half as much. In this video I go into this head on. Not only do I cover initial cost, but also what other gear is out there that may be considered more hobbyist yet, perform better then higher costing photography gear.

About This Photo:

I took this photo in the Philippines while walking along Butuan Bay while the tide was very low. The photo its self was taken on a Canon EOS 70D using the Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM Lens. Exposure settings used were ISO 250, 1/160sec, f/9 at 22mm. I used ISO250 to get a faster shutter speed as I didn't want the coconut tree leaves to appear blurry. Aperture of f/9 was used to get the highest depth of field as I could without sacrificing image sharpness. Which worked great and I was able to get the housing along the beach in perfect focus as well as the clouds in the far distance.

New Posting Times

Hello Everyone,
In an effort to try to help my YouTube channel get more views and boost ranking. I will be adjusting the times I will be releasing videos. Since most of my viewers are in the USA I don't see this being a huge impact on those watchers. I will be shifting the time I release videos by an additional 6 hours. The goal is to release videos at 9PM Philippines time, which is also 6AM Pacific and 9AM Eastern Time. The reasoning is due to how Google/YouTube determines if your video is popular or not. If I continue to release at midnight Pacific Time, it sets for many hours and youtube thinks it isn't a popular video, even though its just very few are getting to see it at that hour. Hopefully this adjustment has very little to no impact on my watchers and at the same time helps the videos get seen by a larger audience. Its important for the channel to grow, its in growth that I am able to bring more to my audience.

New Release Schedule:
Mon, Tue, Thr, Sat. 9am Eastern Time.

Thank you all for your consideration..
