The Wait Can Drive You Crazy.. | Blog

The wait can drive you crazy. I have some items being shipped from the states that have not arrived yet! I have ordered a great number of things to help improve my blog, namely two microphones. One wired condenser mic that was highly recommend to me and is supposed to be excellent option until I am ready for wireless. The other mic I ordered mainly for my tutorials, its a Samson Meteor Microphone. It was also highly recommend and had really excellent reviews. One other item is the Tamron SP 70-300 f/4-5.6 VC USM Lens. All of which I will be doing unboxings and eventually reviews on. Now I am having these shipped from the states the safest way possible via Sea Cargo in what everyone calls a Ballack Bayan Box. I honestly do not know the correct spelling. Anyway it normally takes 3 months from the time its put in a shipping container until it hits my door step. However due to various reasons, its now over 3 weeks late. Really bites my ass as I had my daughters 9th birthday gifts in this box also, which also her birthday was last weekend. So you can see my frustration.

On a more positive note, this is actually more of a question to everyone out there reading. I am highly considering getting Final Cut Pro X. Up to this point I have been using iMovie, but to continue to improve my blog videos. I have been looking at grabbing some more software. At $299.00 US dollars, its a small investment. However I did consider Adobes offerings. I do not however want to spend $50 a month to get all of Creative Cloud. I spent $9.99 + tax now for Lightroom and Photoshop, which I think is a wonderful deal and was extremely happy to hear from Adobe that is now the standard price. I also don't want to make all my software adobe, I was always told to never to put all your eggs into one basket. So looking like Final Cut Pro X may be my new editor. They have 30 day trail, so thinking about installing it this weekend. But just not quiet sure yet. Well anyway would love to hear everyone else's thoughts and comments.. Cheers.. Joe

Learn How To Setup Identity Plate & Watermarks In Lightroom 5 | Video Tutorial

Branding is important for business growth and this tutorial will help you start setting up Adobe Lightroom 5's identity plate, plus step you through adding watermarks with in Lightroom's built in watermark tools to display your branding and copyrights on your images.

About this tutorial:

This is another tutorial were I am focusing on the ins and outs of Adobe Lightroom. So many tutorials show photographers how to work in the develop module, but few show anything else about Lightroom. So I am going through every detail of Lightroom and teaching about every detail of the program. In this video tutorial I focus on two things, the Identity Plate and Watermarks. Now I have combined these for two reasons, one they are both about branding and two the ID plate tutorial would be ridiculously short. But since they are simple, I am at least able to provide solid setup detail for anyone needing to use these features in Lightroom 5.
